ABOUT Johnathan

Born and raised in Houston and now calling Pearland home, Jonathan Wicks has spent his entire life in hospitality. What started as a busser job at Gringo’s in Pearland eventually led to 15 years as a chef, where he discovered a passion for creating great food and even better guest experiences. His time in the kitchen shaped his deep understanding of what operators and end users really need to succeed. Jonathan studied at Texas State in San Marcos before culinary school, falling in love with the Hill Country along the way. That same love for food and service is what drives him in his role at Chrane today. With first-hand knowledge of the challenges healthcare kitchens face, he brings empathy, practical solutions, and a “we’re all in this together” mindset to every project. Drawn to Chrane for its culture of good people and genuine teamwork, Jonathan is excited to grow his career by helping elevate healthcare foodservice and finding ways to make every kitchen more efficient and impactful. Outside of work, Jonathan is happiest around a grill (ask him about his ribs), cheering for Houston sports, or hanging out with his kids, Bryce and Brooke, and their two Rottweilers. While fine dining and BBQ will always have his heart, he insists nothing beats his mom’s fried pork chops, mashed potatoes, and creamed peas. Approachable, loyal, and always up for a good laugh, Jonathan is passionate about food, people, and finding ways to make every kitchen better than he found it.
