La Vie Est Trop Courte Pour Boire Du Mauvais Cognac!
April Fools 2023
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Introducing the Arc de Triomphe of elixirs, Chrane Foodservice Solutions will now romance your tastebuds off to France with the unveiling of the new spirits division, “Chraniac Cognac”, for the discerning small batch consumer.
Sporting a beret and fashionable smock, Chrane’s Principal and Co-Founder Duane Guidry, notes, “When Chef Robby, Nick Hughes and Kenzie Veal shared their exquisite product tasting, aggressive go to market strategy and thought-provoking vibe deck, I was truly moved. It evoked what Napoleon must have felt on the threshold of conquering Russia! Not only do I recognize Chraniac Cognac will be both an instant and sustained success, I believe it complements Chrane’s Core Values while filling a void in the crowded markets of inferior distilled spirits in Oklahoma and Texas.”
Containing bold notes of dried fruits and warm spices, with hints of toffee, tree nuts, and actual tears from the Mona Lisa, Chraniac Cognac was the brainchild of Chrane’s Director of Culinary Innovation, Chef Robby Hooker. Finding himself in Chrane’s, “The Mix” with a surplus of piquepoul grapes, montrachet yeast and white oak chips leftover from a unique customer test kitchen visit, Robby experimented with a combination of Cambro’s new CamSquares FreshPro food storage, the robust Groen steam jacketed kettle, innovative Alto-Shaam blast chiller, and user-friendly Waring vacuum sealer to rapidly hone this ethereal delicacy.
“I didn’t even know what Cognac was, and two hours later Chef’s Chraniac Cognac was fully matured, and here I am on my 4th beverage, daydreaming of the French countryside”, beamed Angie Sneed with a distinct Francophile pride, enjoying the delectable nectar from American Metalcraft’s new double-walled tumbler.
With unequivocal knowledge of France and French Spirits following a ten-day excursion in 2022, and having proudly resided in both Texas and Oklahoma, Kristen Ritchie was promoted to VP of VSOP Sales, serving at the helm driving Chraniac Cognac’s small batch market penetration. Said Ritchie on her sales strategy, “Ce n’est pas la mer à boire. It’s not as if you have to drink the sea. Celebrating 15 years of Chrane, introductory prices will vary from $20.08 - $20.23.”
